Shigeru Itabashi, a senior examiner and a Level III member
of USGTF-Japan, studied and received his Masters degree in
Golf Biomechanics at Nihon Sports Science University. He was
a college player in the 1990s. His teaching career of over
20 years includes stints as university golf coach, golf
instructor at Hills Academy in Australia, and currently
owner of Gold One Golf School in Gold Coast, Australia.
He has been living in Australia since 1995
with his lovely wife and son. At Hills Academy, he is busy
teaching golf students at the junior and senior high school
levels. The school team has won several tournaments in
Japan and in Australia. While he was at A Game
International, he managed to arrange young and ambitious
players playing with tour professionals.
His students are all from Japan, living or
visiting Australia, and range from beginners to tour pros.
He has provided coaching to thirteen Japanese tour players
the past eight years.
